Due to unforeseen circumstances, some of the anime screened at tonight’s event at the Roxy Theatre for weekend pass holders has changed.  The three episode screenings in the “anime sampler” will be as follows:

• Penguindrum, Episode 1
• Fate/Stay Night, Episode 1
• Sakura Wars, Episode 1

The Canadian premiere of  Maria Cabardo’s Better Things, as well as Princess Mononoke, will still be shown as well.

We are excited to welcome The 404s Improv Comedy Group to Blitz!

If you aren’t familiar with their brand of anime improv, be sure to check out at least one of their shows on the con weekend. Every show is unrehearsed, unpredictable, unrepeatable, and influenced by YOUR suggestions and participation! The 404s will create comedy scenes based on your ideas, combined with their improv know-how and anime fanboyisms. The result is comedy that’ll have you laughing like crazy and knowing why The 404s pack rooms at fandom events around Canada and in the States!

Join them as they celebrate a decade of improv awesomeness at their All-Ages show, and the infamous, mature-rated “Last Pants Standing” performance!  We’ll see you there – and remember, your participation powers the show!

It’s The 404s infamous, mature-rated elimination improv show where letting our hair down is the least of your worries! No anime, no topic, and no taboo is safe!

Unforunately, due to an unforeseen delay of print, The Ultimate Power Duo has cancelled their appearance and concert.

For those of you who have been waiting to hear about what bonus a weekend pass will be getting you, we are excited to announce that weekend pass holders will gain admittance to several screenings at the Roxy Theatre on Friday the 7th:

Also, prior to these screenings, the Roxy will be showing Studio Ghibli’s From Up on Poppy Hill.  Admission to this one isn’t included with your weekend pass, but the Roxy is pre-selling tickets now, so don’t wait!
